This review is for the compact. Previously, i could not for the life of me, thot i could relate to descriptives like 'flexy' or 'noodley'. I've ridden the 04 Blade for a long time, and thot i'd change to a road spec bike. I bought the 07 Ardennes and thot it was Magic! I stomped on the pedal, it went, but it kinda felt like stepping on a pillow. I traded the Ardennes in and man was i blown away by the V-C! I'm not a strong rider by any means but man what a difference! If you're just freewheeling, you get nothing. The more effort you put in, the more of its thoroughbred characteristics become obvious. There is some lightness to the front end, but nothing disconcerting. Get the bike with the performance that is on par or better then your skill.
